Job Description
- Transport explosives according to the regulation
- Adhere to spillage cleaning procedures
- Conduct daily vehicles inspection as per check sheet
- Take the vehicle for explosives licence at the end of every monthly
- Take vehicles for COF once per annum
- Renew Rigid Heavy Vehicle Certificate every 2 years
- Renew Rigid Light Vehicle Certificate every 2 years
- Maintain Convey Dangerous Goods by road every year
- Maintain Personal Protective Equipment to standards
- Load and offload explosives safely
- Return used lead azide drums to Detonators
- Transport different types of explosives to burning grounds and other sites
- Transport detonator waste to Z49 daily
- Collect Acid/reagents to and from relevant areas
- Transport effluent to detonator isolation plant
- Maintain a clean and safe environment inside and outside of the vehicles
- Complete delivery notes daily
- Fill in the requisition form and collect materials
- Supply trolleys at all times as required
- Complete logbook after each trip
- Move material as per requirements
- Complete trolley despatch logbook for traceability on a regular basis

Qualifications & Experience
- Matric or NQF level 4 qualification
- Valid code EC 1 licence
- Valid Professional Driving Permit
- Three (3) years’ experience in driving and working in a manufacturing environment
