Purpose Statement
- To execute key accounting functions and provide an accurate financial status of all systems across Capitec.
- To perform daily settlement account reconciliations, ensuring that all uploads of journals are done timeously and correctly, ensuring provisioning is done on a monthly basis as well as the daily settlement of 3rd parties.
- The System Accountant will also be responsible to analyse, investigate and resolve exceptions raised from the reconciliation process on a daily basis.
- They will perform Month end tasks and is responsible to report any system errors timeously.
Experience
Minimum:
-
2 – 3 years of reconciliation experience
Ideal:
- Experience in a Financial Services environment.
- Experience in the banking & insurance environment

Qualifications (Minimum)
- A relevant qualification in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Finance
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
- Honours Degree in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Finance
Knowledge
Minimum:
- Management of accounts
- Computerised accounting systems and principles (SAP)
- Financial Analysis and interpretation.
Ideal:
-
Basic knowledge of SQL would be an advantage.
