- Advertising: providing dynamic media solutions; handling commercial airtime, on-air sponsorships, content integration, and online sales across a variety of 130+ channel brands on linear TV, VOD, social media, and digital platforms.

Key Performance Objectives
Tasks
Play Transmission
- Accurate playout of content according to the TX schedule 99.995% on PO1; 100% PO2
- Timeously download of TX schedule
- Implement required changes accurately and timeously upon consultation with On-Air department
- Provide an accurate TX report on each anomaly picked up before and after TX
- Download and verify that the TX schedule corresponds exactly with Synergy Micro Schedule and anomalies to be escalated to On-Air Department.
- For Live events: Follow the Escalation Procedure as per the SOP.

Transmission Monitoring
- Actively monitor the video, audio and validate metadata utilising the monitoring equipment provided in the MCRs
- Detect on air errors, take appropriate action by implementing the recovery process, escalating to On-Air department
- Timeously respond to all video and audio alarms
- Ensure to call Playout management for all on air errors from 5 minutes and above (resolved or unresolved).
- For Live Events: Effectively monitor live events and keep constant communication between venue and Playout as per the SOP
- Timeously actively monitor services by flipping across all channels
Transmission Recovery
- Diagnosis and recovery of On Air impact to reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)
- Apply appropriate Emergency Recovery Procedures and escalate quickly to On Air Department
- Apply appropriate Emergency Recovery Procedures and escalate rapidly to BTD Engineering Department
- Follow the Step by Step Disaster recovery SOP to recover channels in the event of disaster
- For Live Events: Continuous communication with the relevant stakeholders and Playout Management with all On Air impact incidents.
Transmission Reporting
- All TX incidents and TX status are accurately reported and communicated timeously on the TX Reporting tool.
- accurately log and report TX incidents with reference number (technical errors) by the end of the shift
- Handover report accurately completed for the next shift
Qualifications
Essential
- A National Diploma in Business Management/ Broadcast/ Media Studies or equivalent NQF Level 5 qualification

Experience
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in broadcast or similar position
- Video Entertainment Industry-specific knowledge and experience
- Media and content experience
