Purpose of the Position:
- To ensure that fault-finding, and repair of broadcast equipment is carried out properly to minimize operational down time.
- To ensure that there is technical support to the relevant operating teams
Key Performance Objectives
Tasks
Operational Delivery
- Ensure that corrective and preventative maintenance of broadcast systems and equipment is carried out under supervisory guidance of the line Manager
- Ensure availability of technical support to the business
- Ensure that proper technical maintenance on OB units is carried out regularly
- Ensure that technical or operational equipments are in proper working order
- Ensure that feedback is provided to Engineers Unit Technical Manager regarding availability and readiness of Operational equipment’s after the maintenance and repairs
Compliance
- Perform in accordance with the business processes and policies
- Participate in learning and development activities to ensure adherence to the requirements of the division
- Operator within a given budget to determine and ensure that the financial requirements can be met
Qualification:
- Grade 12 matric certificate
- Minimum NDIP Electronic Engineering Light current or Equivalent NQF Level 6 Qualification

Experience
- Previous in-Service training in an Engineering or broadcast environment.
- A minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a technician
- Live broadcasting knowledge
- Computer literate
