Purpose of the Position:
To ensure that the recording of the live sources, storyline creation and playback are done in accordance with the requirements of the script and show.
Key Performance Objectives
Tasks
Technical Operations
- Build and maintain relationships with all production stakeholders
- Deliver EVS outputs in line with the different sporting codes
- Ensure EVS outputs are in line with Director instructions
- Communicate technical errors related to the Production to the Director immediately
- Ensure excellent quality and efficient service through extensive sport knowledge and technical skills
Equipment Maintenance
- First line maintenance of EVS equipment
- Rig and test EVS equipment and facilities according to SOP
- Assess risk and implement appropriate solutions to mitigate
- Identify and report equipment fault
- De rig equipment and facilities according to SOP upon completion of production

Professional Conduct
- Effective management of personal schedules
- Ensure compliance to all internal governance through adherence to the policies and procedures of the company during productions.
Communication
- Ensure effective written and verbal (email and cellphone) communication with relevant production stakeholders to ensure risk mitigation on productions.
Self-Development
- Take initiative to improve technical skills that would be to the advantage of the department and keep abreast of emerging industry related trends
Qualifications Essentials:
- Matric/ Grade 12
- Diploma in Television Broadcasting/ Media Studies
- Drivers’ License EB
- Degree Advantageous
Experience
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ EVS experience in a Studio Sport Broadcasting environment
- Computer Literacy
- Ability to work under pressure/tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work in groups as well as individually
