Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements
The Process Engineer (I) PSA project is a project-specific position applicable for the duration of the PSA project. Upon completion of the PSA project, the incumbent will be allocated to another capital project within the Mozambican Gas Projects (MGP) or the wider Sasol South African environment.
This individual will also be required to perform process engineering work across other smaller tier rated projects and to provide technical expertise and support to existing plant operations located in Mozambique. The role requires that the individual be able to work within a well-defined project environment during all project phases while being sensitive to engineering scope and impacts on project schedule and cost.
The application of correct work processes, design codes, standards and tools, and applicable process engineering activities required to either develop a project or technically troubleshoot is a core aspect of this role.

This role has a mandatory requirement that the incumbent is able to travel to Mozambique (as and when required) to support process engineering activities.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- BSc. Eng (chemical);
- +3 years in the field of process engineering including:
- successful completion of Apprenticeship model; and Experience in process engineering:
- Sound understanding of process engineering generalist knowledge and sound understanding with regards to process equipment (eg. design and safe operaiton thereof).

- Some selected design and execution, commissioning and start-up experience of process plants.
- Some selected detailed knowledge in defined fields of process engineering (e.g. but not limited to aspen/hysys flowsheet simulation, hydraulic modelling & analysis, control philosophies, HAZOPs, etc.).
- Some selected knowledge in technology area (eg.Gas processing, Fischer-Tropsch/GTL, refinery, chemicals, utilities, etc.).
- Ability to support the execution (follow technical instruction to enable) the process engineering scope for small single or multidiscplinary Capital projects.
