Learnerships are one of South Africa’s most popular, and cost-effective, routes to tertiary education. Can I get a job through the programme?
The key thing to look for is its relevance. How does your current field of study relate to what you want to do? Do your hard skills match up with your end goal? Your career counsellor or learning facilitator will help you figure out which job or industry might be a good fit. That’s why it’s important to tell them everything that comes into your head and not leave out any skills, even if they don’t seem related to what you want to do.
