Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements
We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Business Analyst to join the eCommerce team in an agile environment, reporting to the Digital Product Manager. The role of the Business Analyst will be to work closely with multiple teams, including the product manager and development team, to bring clarity to the product roadmap and ensure requirements for future enhancements are considered, delivered as intended, and in full.
The BA will assist the Product Manager in prioritizing requirements and will be responsible for scoping and assessing user-stories, as well as conducting user acceptance testing to ensure the business requirements have been met. \

Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Scoping and requirement analysis - 25%
- Validate concepts and requests - 20%
- Maintain and complete briefs while communicating and translating the specifications of the requirements to the UX/ UI and development teams - 25%
- Document system scenarios and identify roles impacted to help develop a change management/training plan - 10%
- Conduct business process modelling and generate applicable scenarios for the technical functionality testing team, be the liaison between the product manager, technical team and development team - 20%
Qualifications:
- A related IT BSc or BCom degree with a background in digital fields
- Knowledge of project management

Holding one of the following certificates would be an added advantage:
- Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
- Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
- Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE)
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
Experience:
At a minimum of 3-5 years experience in:
- Digital projects
- Software development lifecycle
- Digital Customer Experience Design (UX or CX background)
- Added advantage if the experience is in the Retail sector

- Exceptional ability to position and “sell” solutions that are reasonable, actionable, and cost-effective, including the ability to properly gauge the requirements and “plug” the appropriate solution.
- Forward-thinking and resourceful to skirt red tape and ensure solutions are brought to fruition and requirements are correctly closed.
- Ability to problem-solve and apply methodologies such as Unified Modelling Language and Rational Unified Process, to prepare detailed specifications using case statements and related documentation.
- People skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with stakeholders and communicate changes that may not be aligned with the original expectations.
- Knowledge of proper requirements specification and development, such as process/functional requirements definition methods, use case development, process flow diagrams
- Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall Methodologies
