Technician - Servest Cleaning

Servest Cleaning a division of the Servest Group Pty (Ltd) has an exciting opportunity for a Technician. Previous experience and a proven track record in the technical field is essential. This position will be based at our Durban Office and will be reporting to the General manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Major assets are to be monitored on a weekly basis and from this preventive maintenance, job cards, ordering of spares, arrange for outsourced service providers to assist with the maintenance thereof, asset site audits.
• Report all major concerns and repairs to the technical manager timeously to be assessed and approved prior to the repairs.
• Duties include, all engine repair industrial and specialised equipment like gear boxes and transmissions, hydraulic fault finding, electrical, repairs to all field equipment etc.
• Maintenance of all equipment i.e., keeping track and reporting any problems to General Manager.

• Ensure close weekly communication with line management.
• Adhoc duties as required by management includes overtime, some weekends and occasionally out of town trips to collect spares as and when required.
• Duties include all monthly repairs and maintenance on all Industrial Auto Scrubber, vacuums, Single Disk as well high-pressure units.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 Essential
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• 5 years’ experience
• Must be fit and able to work on roaming sites within Servest Cleaning
• Valid driver’s license code 10
• Committed and willing to make occasional personal sacrifices to meet deadlines
• Computer literate

• Excellent communication skills, strong admin and report writing skills
• Fault finding and diagnostics experience
• Health and safety experience in and on site, willing to be a team player, safety rep
