What you will be working on
The Modelling teams are responsible for building data modelling infrastructure that allows Zappi’s clients to find the insights in their data. Our current goal is to migrate our existing products to a new, more robust and flexible data-driven architecture. As a modelling team member, you’ll be building the data pipeline that allows users to merge disparate surveys; filter their data at the most granular level; and calculate and apply historical benchmarks.
Experience in Ruby/Python/React and data modelling/engineering is a benefit but not a requirement. The ideal candidate is one who is self-motivating, passionate about designing and building high-quality systems, willing to adapt to new languages and learn new technologies in order to solve difficult problems, has experience working with highly available systems and is able to work in a data-driven and continuously improving environment.
The team and engineering function practices continuous integration and deploys to production multiple times per day, on an auto-scaling Kubernetes cluster running on AWS.
Requirements

You will need to be able to demonstrate the characteristics of a junior/intermediate engineer (this is generally more than 2 years of experience)

You are able to demonstrate how you add value to a team as a senior engineer, and what you expect from a high performing team

You have transferable technical experience. We don’t need deep expertise in our tech stack if you can demonstrate your ability to learn new technologies
