Driver, Articulated Vehicle - Transnet

Position Purpose:

To safely convey cargo from one point to another using a horse and trailer to ensure a continuous flow of operations.

KINDLY NOTE THESE POSITIONS ARE SEASONAL FIXED-TERM CONTRACTS

Position outputs:

• Obtain task for shift
• Obtain checklist from ABM
• Perform daily tasks and record discrepancies
• Obtain shift norm from CC
• Report all incidents/accidents
• Continuously check the vehicle for defects
• Check tonnage of cargo

• Sign on to the operating system (Navis)
• Follow on-screen directives
• Load cargo
• Acknowledge task completed at end of the instruction cycle

Qualifications & Experience:

• Matric
• Code EC Drivers license
• PrDP
• 2 years of driving experience

• Be able to read and write
