Armed Response Officer - GG Security

Responsibilities (Not Limited to the Below)

• Report writing
• Protection and Safeguarding of all company sites
• Patrolling and Static armed guarding
• Entrance and exit control
• Completing relevant registers
• Standard duties as per training
• Response to alarms and incidents
• Good communication skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Able to follow instructions accurately

• Excellent legal and practical knowledge of the use of Firearms – SAPS and/or SWAT training and/or experience will be an advantage.
• Firearm business competency SAPS certificate obtained more than 2 years ago.
• Own a legal firearm (pistol) with a licence will be an advantage.
• The overall purpose of this position is to ensure that all site-specific tactical security requirements are adhered to and that the Client’s needs are efficiently adhered to in real-time.

Minimum Qualifying Criteria

• Matric.
• PSIRA Grade B accredited AND relevant training.
• Minimum of 5 years in security industry.
• Age between 30 and 45.
• Sober habits.
• No criminal record.
• Well-groomed and presentable in uniform.
• Willing to undergo criminal checks regularly.
• Must be physically fit and in good health.
• Computer literate an advantage.
• Must have estate/retail experience.
• Must reside in travelling distance to the sites.
• Valid Driver’s Licence – obtained more than 2 years ago.
• Excellent knowledge and Firearm Competency – Handgun, Shotgun, Rifle for Business purposes.
• Professional, prepared, alert and always disciplined.
