Starke Ayres: General Worker - Plennegy

Starke Ayres is the foremost African specialist and global supplier of premium vegetable, flower and lawn seed varieties – both for commercial and home garden planting. The following position has become available for a General Worker, based in Kempton Park. To pick stock and make up customer orders as per customer invoice and prepare same for despatch as per customer requirements, as well as assisting with cleaning of facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Picks products and makes up orders as per customer orders and transfers them to the holding area for checking.
• Ensures that correct seed reference numbers are picked and report all incorrect reference numbers to the Stock Controller.
• Ensures that all items picked are in a clean and saleable condition and meet laid down quality standards with regard to packaging, labelling, outer appearance and neatness.
• Assists with the bi-annual as well as ad hoc stock counts/checks as per Stock Controller instruction.
• Assists fellow workers with the execution of tasks whenever their own responsibilities have been executed and completed.
• Ensures that work area/s are neat, tidy, organised and clean at all times.
• Assists with and adheres to security measures to ensure the safety of products, assets and facilities.
• Acts responsibly and professionally at all times, fostering goodwill and a positive image for the Company.
• Assist with cleaning of facilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 (Essential)
