The role is responsible for security services and protecting company employees, materials and facilities on the operation.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assist with effective people overseeing
- Effective Access Control
- Effective investigations of incidents
- Ensure confidentiality of all records and information
- Effective surveillance
- Effectively manage own development
Requirements:
- National Certificate (1st year completed) in Security Management or equivalent
- Registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) - Minimum Grade B
- Valid Firearm competency certificate
- Minimum 3 years’ experience at supervisory level within Protection Services / Security or similar role
- In-depth experience as a Security Officer
- Knowledge in CCTV and alarms
- Knowledge of Security systems and processes
- Basic knowledge of relevant legislation including Criminal Procedures Act, Statute Law, Security Officers Act, Law of Evidence, Mine Health and Safety Act & Labour Law
- Be prepared to undergo Behavioral Assessment and Firearm Competency Assessment
- Report writing skills
- Computer literacy
- Valid driver’s license
- In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness

Advantageous:
- Studying towards a Security related National Diploma (NQF Level 7)
- PSIRA Grade A
- Knowledge of investigations-related activities
- Team supervisory experience in the Mining industry
- Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade A
- Safety Course: S1
- Knowledge and understanding of Seriti Coal Policies and Procedures
