Job Description :
PURPOSE OF POSITION
To carry out driving duties in respect of deliveries and collections in a prompt and efficient manner, according to instruction.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Report daily to an appointed Duty Controller as set out by management.
- Be available via cell-phone to answer calls or messages from management, whilst working. Do so in a safe manner whilst driving (e.g. park safely before answering a call).

- Deliver and collect parts, mail, cheques and specific equipment, etc.
- Assist in the cleaning and preparation of vehicles when required.
- To attend to duties required efficiently and timeously without violation of any traffic laws.
- To ensure the safekeeping of company assets under one’s control at all times.
- Fill in log sheets and delivery book after every trip.
- Ensure all vehicles are locked after-hours and parked under cover.
- Be neatly dressed and professional at all times.
- Not to smoke or eat in a company- or customer's vehicle.
- Not to carry private passengers in the vehicle.
- Not to use company or customer's vehicles for any form of private use.
- Report any accident immediately to the manager and the authorities.
- Assist with bi-annual stock takes.
- Carry out any other reasonable instruction from management.
- Ad hoc duties, as and when required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12/ equivalent.
- Good verbal and written communication and literacy skills in English and Afrikaans.
- Ability to carry out verbal and written instructions.
- A valid, unendorsed driver's license with the appropriate vehicle codes.
- Satisfactory visual, hearing and health to legally carry out work responsibility.
- A minimum of twelve months driving experience in a similar position doing collection and deliveries for a Company.
- Clean criminal record.
