Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements
We are now accepting applications for an Executive Housekeeper – someone with drive and passion for the industry, the ability to lead a team and to maintain the Leading Hotel of the Worlds standards.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent; 5 years of Housekeeping management experience in a 4 or 5* hotel/guest house/lodge; formal hotel/housekeeping training would be an advantage; and SAP knowledge would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have great interpersonal and communication skills, have good product knowledge, be friendly, and guest-centric, a team player who is flexible to work shifts, including weekends, and have a keen eye for detail.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure the room product offering is of the highest standard and quality;
- Monitor business activities and ensure accurate, timely and efficient rooming systems are in place;
- Ensure Leading Hotel standards are adhered to;
- Ensure compliance and updating of SOPs;
- Monitor &/suggest improved systems of amenity control, new trendy products suggested;
- Manage stock and cost control;
- Performance management, discipline and training of staff of subordinate staff;
- Interaction with suppliers of products and services.
