1. Warehouse Operations

• Provide immediate leadership to teams
• Effective People and Shift Planning (Time & Attendance, Leave)
• Ensure flow throughout warehouse process (Receiving, Storage, Picking, Marshalling and Dispatch)

• Minimize stock damages
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Resolve any non-conformances
• Implement, manage and ensure compliance to the SHEQ program

2. Reporting

• Reporting on daily throughput, performance ( team and individual )
• Reporting and investigating accidents, incidents and near misses

3. Performance.

• Ensuring that customer requirements are achieved (Inbound, Internal Warehouse, Outbound, Customer Collect and VAS)
• Ensure that housekeeping standards are understood and maintained.
• Deliver on the 5 agreed to KPI’s as per the contract with the 4PL.

4. People Management.

• Develop and coach high performing teams and manage performance to drive a positive behaviour
• Drive a continuous improvement culture through all levels and across all functions
• Maintain healthy employee relations and working environment
• Facilitation of SMARTCOMS
• Identify LEAN initiatives
• Implementation of KAIZAN
• Performance management of the DC.
• Roll out fundamental LEAN training.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or Matric
• Tertiary qualification in Warehouse Management advantageous
• 3 - 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment or logistics environment ?
