The responsibility of the Client Service department is to build and retain strong and lasting relationships with the MHA clients through ongoing support by ensuring that all funeral policy enquiries are answered and solved. We believe that efficiently supported clients become satisfied and loyal clients, who in turn help with improving the overall brand net promoter score and business revenue.
Job Purpose:
The Receptionist is responsible for maintaining a positive and friendly company image by acting as the first line of contact to visitors, customers, and vendors both in person and telephonically. Job Responsibilities, Duties and Tasks:
- Monitor the reception door to open for visitors.
- Greeting visitors on arrival, announcing, and directing them to the agreed waiting point.
- Answering the switchboard and directing calls to the correct staff members or departments.
- Taking messages and distributing them to the correct staff members timeously.

- Receiving and distributing parcels to the correct staff members timeously.
- Liaising with the cleaners to ensure that the reception area is always kept clean.
- Liaising with the cleaners to offer the MHA visitors refreshments.
- Report all reception malfunctioning hardware/software to the Client Services Manager.
- Keep the brochure and form trays up to date.
- Always maintain a professional and positive attitude.
- Ensure that the quality standards are met and that a high standard of quality is achieved and maintained.
- Adhere to the MHA business processes, procedures and business rules.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in the corporate office
- Always look presentable (Employee is the face of the company)
- Computer literacy
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Multilingual (Speak at least an additional 2 African languages)
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication skills
- Highly organized, logical, and able to multitask efficiently.
