G4S Secure Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated security management solutions, has a vacancy for a MSS Director based at our Head Office in Centurion, Gauteng.
MSS - Manned Security Services
The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which the MSS Director plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:
Strategy Development
- Design and implement operational strategies, plans, and procedures to achieve comprehensive performance and growth
- Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
- Management Information to drive the operational objectives
- System & process improvement
Effective management of the divisions financial performance
- Manage relationship between actual results, budgets and forecasts,
- Manage the effective and efficient usage of company assets, i.e. vehicles, ensuring that all assets are well maintained, accounted for, and utilized correctly to optimize life of the asset.
- Implement and manage cost savings and controls
- Gross Margin Improvement
- Continuously ensure operational excellence that will directly impact on financial performance of the business
Innovation
- G4S Risk 360 Ongoing Improvement and Implementation to all G4S Customers in order to align G4S towards changing customer requirements and provide a Proactive Risk Management Solution
- Measure effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and find ways to improve processes
Effective Contract and Customer Relationship Management
- Key Account Management to ensure retention of Top 20 customers
- Improve on Customer retention ratios year on year
- Identify customers at risk and implementing corrective actions to remedy and ensuring that the root cause concerns are corrected for the business
- Driving Operational Intelligence
- Consistent delivery of contractual commitments
Compliance and Risk Management
- Health and Safety Improvement and driving a Health and Safety Culture within the Operations and Frontline Teams
- Compliance to legislation and contract requirements, including but not limited to, Firearms, National Keypoints Act, SACAA, PSIRA compliance

Effective management and development of People
- Set comprehensive goals for the performance and growth of direct reports
- Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
- The leadership of the G4S National Control Centre for the MSS business
- People Management, including Risk and Consulting including Integra and Investigations
Health and Safety and Contingency
- Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/region/national safety plans for each year.
- Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks
- Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
- Discuss all safety incidents on all levels
- Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings/committees/representatives/management
- Comply with safety policies and procedures at the workplace
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Qualification and Experience
- Relevant business qualification with a preference post graduate qualification
- 10 years experience in a business and/or operational senior management position
- Experience within a corporate entity or multinational and the relevant reporting in this environment would be advantageous
- Experience within the security, services or logistics environment would be preferred
