An exciting opportunity exists within our team for a Security Checker within our Durban team based at our Mount Edgecombe warehouse. The Security Checker will ensure full adherence to standard operating procedures for the Dispatch and Receiving of stock into the Warehouse.

Key Performance Areas:
- Controlled outbound delivery process
Full adherence to the Outbound delivery standard operating procedures:
- Ensure the vacuum Cage system is adhered to.
- Verify the correct stock has been loaded into the dispatch cage against the picking list (Item, quantity, batch number).
- Report variances to Depot Manager.
- Ensure the load files is kept up to date and all documents is accounted for.
- Investigate any discrepancies (quantity, batch number, cross picking) after the delivery team has checked the load prior to opening the cage.
- Assist with loading the vehicles using the invoices.
Check and verify stock received due to failed deliveries
- Receive Returns and Redeliveries (RD) from delivery team.
- Ensure the correct item, quantity is received back as indicated on the invoice.
- Ensure the stock is securely locked away.
- Release stock to warehouse team once credit note has been processed.
- Move RD stock and invoice into the planned cage before driver / crew check.
Dispatch accuracy for 911 / collections
- Ensure all 911/ collections have the correct paperwork in the load file.
- Verification process is done before releasing collection stock.
- Ensure the stock picked and invoiced matches the Invoice (item, quantity and Batch Number).
Secured Inbound Stock Receipts
- Verification, reconciling and safeguarding stock for in bound deliveries.
- Verify the tag serial number on the vehicle matches the receiving documentation and hasn’t been tampered with.
- Observe the vehicle offloading, palleting process.
- Receive the stock in a secure lockable cage.
- Check the incoming stock physically (item, batch no, quantity) versus receiving documentation.
- Isolate-damaged or short-dated stock
- Report any variances to Management

Inventory management.
- Conduct daily cycle counts
- At least 20 items blind counted per day. Stock recon done against SAP.
- Isolate damaged or expired stock and report to Depot Manager.
- Participate in Stock Take
- Attend the stock count date
Security awareness.
- Ensure adherence to OHASA.
- Report unsafe work practises or unsafe working conditions to management.
- Administer the daily Breathalyser test.
Monitor and control warehouse security.
- Observe the loading and off -loading of stock in the loading bay.
- Walk the warehouse and identify any stock with damaged primary packaging
- Enforce policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment
Qualification:
- Matric
- Security / Logistics tertiary achievement
- Minimum 2-4 years in a similar environment
- SAP Knowledge
Knowledge:
- Principles of surveillance
- Good observational and monitoring ability
- Inventory management
- Sound mathematical and counting abilities
