PURPOSE OF JOB
To collect from and deliver to clients as instructed by Work Orders loaded in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct and Dress Code. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engages with clients in a professional manner in the process of delivering and collecting.
- Checks all items received and delivered against control documents to ensure accuracy and report any/all discrepancies whilst still on site with valid comments.
- Obtain client signatures with dates and times of delivery to support service quality.
- Is responsible for assigned scanner devices, general cleanliness and condition of vehicle and completes vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections report on a daily basis.
- Drives courteously, observing traffic regulations at all times.
- Informs the Distribution Supervisor of any issues or concerns raised in transit or onsite
- Ensure all Work Orders are validated and uploaded upon execution
- Assigned vehicles to be loaded at start of shift and completed offloaded at every end of shift

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Matric Certificate (not negotiable).
- A post-matric certificate/diploma in logistics/warehousing. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience in a logistics/warehousing/distribution environment.
- Willingness to work overtime.
- Valid Code 10 Driver's license and PDP.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes.
- Hands-on person.
- High energy level.
- Sense of urgency.
- Ability to work under extreme pressure.
- Ability to manage difficult clients and their continuous demands.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Able to relate well to people at all levels.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible especially when it comes to change.
- Must have the company’s objectives and best interest at heart.
