JOB SUMMARY
To receive and store raw materials from both production and purchased raw material stock. To maintain an accurate inventory level by means of stock control through regular stock counts. To issue raw materials to production in full as per requisition or sales order. To drive the forklift to receive and issue raw materials in a safe manner.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND OUTPUTS:
Warehousing, Inventory and Logistics
Perform warehouse stock-related duties as follows:
- Move raw materials from production output bins and store them in storage bins in the Raw Material Warehouse.
- Offload and receive purchased raw materials and packaging.
- Accurately record the destination storage bin for the raw materials.
- Ensure that the raw material bin in CAMS is the same as the physical storage to avoid lost stock /variances.
- Ensure that Inventory is stored in a manner that prolongs the life of the goods and maintains the quality standard of the original product.
- Maintain Raw Materials Warehouse to an acceptable standard of cleanliness, that adheres to the company’s 5S requirements and to applicable fire, safety and other regulatory standards.
- Report any non-conformances relating to stock to the Inbound Inventory Supervisor.
- Issue raw materials and packaging as per requests from the various production departments.
- Any reasonable task required by the Department Supervisor or Manager.
Safety, Health, Environment – We Tread Softy - Report all safety hazards, incidents and near misses.
- Ensure housekeeping is kept to 5S standards.
- Conduct forklift checks and complete checklists

This role is accountable for all raw material and packaging receipts and all the stock functions that require to be moved by forklift.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 / Matric with a pass in Maths/Maths Lit and English
- Valid Forklift License
- 3 to 5 years relevant logistics and warehouse experience in a similar role within a relevant industry.
