The main purpose of this position is to assist the Security Governance, Risk and Compliance Division with regard to project security and vetting support for contractors and service providers at the Cape Town facility of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
Detailed Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:
- Oversee site-specific project security interventions.
- Coordinate project security classification with Head Office for vetting and other related purposes.
- Oversee the on-site vetting support function.
- Receive and verify the desired level of quality in security clearance questionnaires (SCQs) and pre-service screening questionnaires (PSSQs).
- Open and maintain security vetting files for applicants and assist with the scanning and rolling of fingerprints of vetting applicants.
- Ensure that all vetting applications received in Cape Town are forwarded to the Personnel Security Vetting Office in Head Office.
- Maintain all equipment and ensure that operating facilities are secure and in good order.
- Liaise with external and internal stakeholders on both project security and vetting-related matters.
- Render administrative support and management information services to the personnel security vetting and project security functions.

Job Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- a National Diploma in Business Administration or an equivalent NQF 6 qualification;
- at least five years’ experience in a project security and/or vetting support environment;
- experience in the use of the Microsoft Office suite (including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Outlook as well as the internet and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system;
- Knowledge of service and stakeholder engagement, project security and data collection and analysis;
- a favourable security clearance; and
- a valid Code 8 driver’s licence.
