DC Process Controller: Picking - Takealot

Reporting to the Outbound Manager

Your responsibilities will include:

SAFETY

• Ensure that all prescribed safety and operational procedures are always adhered to.
• Correct PPE to be worn always by all staff with the correct care taken to enhance the life span off he PPE.
• Ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported to Takealot management immediately.
• Ensure high standard of housekeeping and tidiness within the working area.

OPERATIONAL

• Monitor and evaluate hourly/daily operational reports and ensure that Outbound KPIs are controlled and met, any discrepancies are to be addressed and resolved.
• Release work available to DC for processing
• Assist in maintaining FIFO within the Outbound area, by ensuring that Priorities, Same Day Deliveries, and SLA orders are timeously handed over to Dispatch.
• Ensure that Outbound queries are resolved timeously, and exception trends are addressed and resolved.
• Assist the team in identifying and resolving any mistakes or inaccuracies.
• Report and resolve risks to Outbound KPIs within a reasonable time to mitigate
• Clear, accurate and decisive communication to the operations team

KPI – TARGETS

• Priority orders are completed before 09h00
• Same Day Deliveries orders are completed before 12h00
• Service Level Agreement (SLA) orders are completed before 17h00

REPORTS

• Hourly productivity
• Picking tasks to be completed
• Task allocation report
• TAT
• Deadtime reporting

GENERAL

• You may from time to time be requested to perform tasks outside your normal function, which will be to the benefit of the total operation team.
• You are to perform your duties with great responsibility and care as well as with loyalty towards your employer.
• It is your duty to report any known misconduct or discrepancies within the operation, to management

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equal qualification.
• Tertiary qualification advantageous
• Have proven relevant experience in a Warehouse picking and packing environment.
• 3 years of warehouse experience

• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer-focused working environment.
• Possess excellent personal organisation and business administration skills in accordance with modern best practice methods.
• Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt.
• Good team player, hard worker, willing to be flexible with a positive attitude Must be able to work as part of a multi-cultural team
