Driver: Springs - Distell Group Limited

Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based in the Stores Engineering Department at Springs. The successful candidate will report to the Stores Controller.

Key performance areas include (but are not limited to):

• Collecting and delivering goods on behalf of Distell
• Maintaining good internal and external customer relations
• Active participation in Mini-Business activities (Mission Directed Work Teams)
• Drives forklift
• Ensure the forklift is in a good state of repair
• Stacking and collecting of products as per required specifications and safety standards
• Adhering to stock movement operating procedures
• Ensure proper documentation is in place before moving stock within the factory
• Ensure that safety rules and regulations are adhered to and implemented
• Loading / offloading supplier transport
• Assist in monthly stock-taking requirements
• Receiving of goods
• Daily administration
• Housekeeping

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

• Matric / Grade 12
• A valid forklift driver’s license is essential.
• At least 3 years experience in a similar capacity (transporting people and or goods)
• An unendorsed and valid driving licence (Code E
• A valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
• A valid Code C1 driving licence required
• Own or reliable transport to and from work
• Ability to cope with the inherent physical demands of the position
• Willingness to work shifts and extended hours (occasionally weekends) when required
• Reliable and flexible team player with sober habits
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
• Knowledge of SAP
• Store stock management
