Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements
To assist the buyer in compiling and executing the category plans in line with the strategy, objectives, and category group guidelines on format/margin and assortment strategies. To provide day-to-day administrative support to optimize the performance (i.e. sales and cash margins) of the categories by being customer focused.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collate and pull ad-hoc statistical and exception reports on request
- Analyse reports, investigate anomalies and take appropriate action
- Prepare vendor listing packs and ensure all supporting documents meet the required standards
- Be part of the buyer’s negotiations with suppliers when required
- Monitor and manage the execution of buying contracts and SLAs to the DCs
- Monitor and manage the execution of buying deals and SLAs to the DSD vendors
- Identify and verify SAP article data with external systems ensuring master data alignment
- Review and communicate aged and exit stock reports for buyer
- Interact with relevant stakeholders on sales uplift information (indicator and inventory management)
- Investigate all pricing queries on behalf of the buyer
- Ensure all product life cycle activities are executed successfully
- Monitor the performance of newly listed products and provide the buyer with feedback, particularly on non-performers
- Provide support to customer care and support teams
- Generate and analyze exception reports to ensure rebate targets achieved and maintained
- Request creation of Article through the Electronic article take-on
- Maintain emergency pricing

Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- A diploma or higher certificate is a preference
- 5 Years of Retail Administration experience
- Minimum 2 Years of instore Retail experience is a added advantage
- Proficiency in SAP and BW, MS Outlook, MS Word and PowerPoint
- Intermediate Excel skills
