The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an employment opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to coordinate, collate and maintain all business information at the regional level. This post is based at the Eden Karoo Regional Office.

Key Performance Areas

  • Collate all data for the region;
  • Maintain management information systems at the region;
  • Report on region information;
  • Support regional planning and management processes;
  • Liaise with internal/external stakeholders.

Competencies

Knowledge of the following:

  • Department of Social Development systems;
  • Policy development;
  • Project coordination;
  • Departmental policies and procedures;
  • Communication strategy and procedures;
  • Interpretation of prescripts;

Skills needed:

  • Report writing;
  • Communication (written and verbal);
  • Organising and planning;
  • Proven computer literacy;
  • Numerical; Innovative;
  • Analytical thinking.

Minimum Requirements

  • An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (B-Degree or equivalent) or higher;
  • A minimum of 1-year relevant experience.

Remuneration

R269 214 per annum (Salary Level 7)

Note on remuneration: Employees' service benefits or obligations (13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
