LLOP / PPT Driver x 4

Business Overview

This is a busy, fast paced operation which offers many challenges and opportunities for the right person. These positions are based at Ndlovu Park, Pietermaritzburg.

To safely move stock between locations. Ensure that all contractual KPI targets are achieved and maintained in accordance with the Service Level Agreement.

Role Outline

• To contribute to a productive working environment
• To work within any operating area as determined by Management and the needs of the Business
• To take / lift stock from the PF to the pallet
• To transport stock from one location to another
• To follow the SOP and WI, whilst safely carrying out your duties
• To perform administrative tasks in line with the SOP
• Be actively involved in and support change initiatives
• Honesty – pride in your job and an eye for detail
• Ensure housekeeping/hygiene in the area is up to standard
• Operate with integrity and ethical values
• Ensure pallets are according to stacking standards and that there are no damages to the pallets
• Correct use of LLOP and other company equipment and to timeously report any defects / faults
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Management
• Report and record any non-conformities with regards to the customers merchandise or unsafe acts
• Handle goods with care to minimise damages
• Inspection of LLOP machine daily or before each shift to adhere to Operational Safety & Health standards
• Adherence to all Health & Safety standards and rules and best practices
• Participation in stock counts
• Complete tasks timeously
• Ensure that product safety, quality and integrity is not compromised
• Report any persons behaviour that may impact on the safety, quality and integrity of the stored product

Qualifications

• Matric
• Valid LLOP / PPT licence

Skills/Competencies/Experiences

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members
• Achieve work targets and is willing to take on additional roles / responsibilities
• Good problem solver
• Attention to detail
• WMOS experience and knowledge
• Working knowledge of packaging and warehousing methods
• Ability to read, understand and follow instructions
• Have appropriate hand, eye and foot co-ordination to effectively use the MHE
• Required to be multi skilled
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Awareness of importance of security
• Operational knowledge and understanding of service delivery
• React to customers in a courteous and professional manner and maintain the highest level of integrity
• 1-2 years’ experience of working in Warehousing/Logistics environment
• 1 – 2 years’ experience as a LLOP / PPT Driver
