Xtime System Administrator L - G4S Secure Solutions

G4S Secure Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated security management solutions, has a vacancy for an XTime System Administrator based at our head office in Centurion, reporting to General Manager. 

The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role that administration plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

The position requires at least 5 years of experience within a similar environment. Relevant industry-related experience would be advantageous.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:

Provide Accurate and Effective Software / System Testing and Implementation

• Test new software releases from development 
• Compile a detailed fault analysis report if the software is not functioning as per specification.

• Monitor escalated queries against milestones, response and resolution times.
• Communicate new releases and best practice
• Remote and On-Site system support, implementation and configuration

Provide Accurate and Effective Software / System Support

• Assist Helpdesk and field staff in escalated queries & provide support as required
• Investigate all escalated Software / Systems queries and compile a detailed fault analysis report.
• Escalate relevant issues to Development and work in conjunction towards a resolution
• Provide scheduled system support to appointed clients

Business Analysis & Design

• Facilitate the user group workshops and meetings
• Conduct needs analysis based on the outcome of the user group workshop
• Conduct business process analysis and compile all relevant documentation.
• Compile development specification documentation and ensure sign-off before the commencement of development.
• Ensure Specification Sign-Off from the client before commencing with the development
• Ensure development specification departmental handover.

Effective Software Development within Requirements

• Monitor development and control any specification variance from the original specification.
• Ensure that all Software development work is logged within JCS.
• Consult on status of all logged software development with the development department appointed interface
• Update JCS Software development logs accordingly and weekly.
• Communicate development progress on fault rectifications and new development on a frequent basis to all relevant parties.

Accurate Compilation and Management of Documentation

Identify and Pursue Business Development Opportunities

Effective Project Management

Call Centre Management

• Ensure that all tickets are logged
• Follow up and ensure that there is compliance with regard to response and resolution times
• Conduct meetings with clients to ensure that they are informed
• Escalate where required

System Implementations and System Health Monitoring and Support

• Implementations of systems on-site and remotely.
• Implementations are international and travelling to other countries when required
• Conduct system support and health status reports as well as system clean-ups where required.

IT Support

• Conduct first-line support on IT infrastructure where possible which includes hardware and software
• Manage and assist with the CITRIX environment where applicable
• Ensure adequate server and network performance available for the system to perform at optimal levels
• Monitor and report on the server and network up and downtime
