Inhouse Service Technician - BD

As an Inhouse Service Technician you will be responsible for all service functions in mainly Johannesburg but can extend to all South Africa, i.e., Pre- Delivery Inspection/Installation, maintenance, upgrade and repairs of BD Infusion Products along their lifecycle. You will be a technical resource to the Sales and Clinical Specialist team during pre-sales, sales, post sales cycles. In tight cooperation with sales and Clinical Support.

Other Key Responsibilities:-

• Use your interpersonal skills, technical skills and knowledge to deliver industry- leading service to our customers

• Install/PDI new instruments, perform preventive and Corrective maintenance and perform upgrades & updates on instrumentation hardware & software

• Manage your Stock Location spare parts inventory

• Actively promote BD products and services

• Liaise with colleagues and other departments to share information and formulate plans to resolve customer inquiries

• Participate in continuous improvement programs and projects within company

About You:

• Bachelor or National Diploma in Electronics or Clinical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.

• 1-3 years’ experience in a technical service medical instrument Field environment or similar.

• Valid Driver’s Licence

• Technical product experience on Infusion products would be an advantage

• Knowledge and experience in dealing with computers, networks, and electronics

• Able to work independently with little need for supervision

• Commercial attitude and strong customer orientation

• Ability to build strong customer relationships and existing customer knowledge is an added advantage
