Takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Key Account Manager - Advertising to join our team in Cape Town.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities:
- Developing and managing long-term partnerships with key advertiser accounts
- Create advertising proposals to drive strategic objectives
- Drive more revenue to spend from key advertisers by adding value
- Work collaboratively with other teams in the organization to deliver strategic campaigns
- Provide insightful reporting to Advertisers with suggestions for future campaigns
- Achieve and exceed advertising revenue targets
- Identify opportunities to improve the experience of the advertiser

Qualifications and experience:
- Proven track record of consistently hitting goals and targets
- Competence in Excel, Powerpoint & Google Workspace
- Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma
- If the degree/diploma qualification requirement isn't met, at least 3 years of key account management experience or 5 years of account manager experience/exposure (through projects or responsibilities) will be required.
- 5 to 7 years minimum (at least 3 years key account experience)
Skills, knowledge and abilities:
- Account Management experience
- Strong knowledge of the Digital Advertising & e-commerce landscape
- Excellent communications and presentation skills (Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Enthusiasm for being a part of an entrepreneurial, start-up environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members within the organisation
- Ability to work independently to achieve sales targets
- Ability to identify key advertising sales opportunities and translate these into implementable solutions and action plans
- Ability to manage and influence teams across various business units
