Picker & Packer - Plennegy

The role of a Picker Packer has become in our Warehouse in Kempton Park. The purpose of this role is to pick a stock and make up customer orders as per customer order/picking slip and prepare same for despatch as per customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Picks products and makes up orders as per picking slip/customer order and transfers them to the holding area for checking.
• Ensures that correct seed reference numbers are picked and report all incorrect reference numbers to the Warehouse Supervisor
• Advises Warehouse Supervisor if certain items are out of stock and await further instructions.
• Ensures that all items picked are in a clean and saleable condition and meet laid-down quality standards with regard to packaging, labelling, outer appearance, and neatness.
• Follows stock rotation procedure, FIFO (first in first out), or “Sticker” system or as per Warehouse Supervisor instructions when picking orders.
• Packs orders in cardboard containers once the order has been checked, addresses/marks them as per customer requirements and ensures that the necessary documentation is either inside or attached to the carton/package.
