A supplier of laboratory equipment and analytical instruments is seeking a Service Technician Trainee. The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- installation, commissioning and preventative maintenance of all company equipment on-site;
- providing professional and friendly customer service to all customers;
- fault finding;
- completion of the Job card for a quotation;
- sending the quotation to the customer within 24 hours of being on-site;
- repairs to equipment;
- services to equipment;
- technical backup and support to customers;
- handling of Guarantee Claims and Repairs;
- identifying sales opportunities and communicating them to the sales team;
- End-user Training and cross-training to staff within the company;
- Telephonic Technical Support; correspondence with principals;
- sale of Service Level Agreements (SLAs);
- maintenance of SLAs;
- cross-border & local travel for repairs and service;
- working overtime as required;
- assisting with standby for critical customers;
- maintaining all administrative work and adherence to all Management Control System (MCS) requirements.

Key Requirements:
- A qualification in Electrical Engineering (Light Current) and a driver’s license are required.
