The objective of the job:
Responsible to actively driving, supporting, advising, monitoring and reporting supply chain processes, from purchasing the raw materials to the delivery of the final product, in line with Divisional Key Performance Indicators and optimisation initiatives. To ensure the effective logistics flow of all passenger vehicles from point of origin through to delivery at the dealer, incorporating effective supplier measurement and management in compliance with the Company's Integrity & Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E. requirements and to perform delegated S.H.E. tasks and duties & to inform superior about deviations.
All activities will be done in compliance with the Company's Integrity Code and other relevant policies.

- Monitor team performance.
- Delegation of duties and tasks.
- The motivation of the team.

Reporting:
- Ensure that all reporting is accurate and includes all relevant information and is distributed within agreed timeframes.
- Monitor and control ad hoc logistics requirements, and calculate Total Supply Chain costs to identify the possibility of supply chain costs savings.
Supplier Management:
- Monitor and control all supplier contracts, performance and costs within the parameters laid out in MBSA's purchasing policy.
Continuous Improvement:
- Responsible for continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing cost and improving processes.
- Reduction in Logistics Costs and Inter Agent moves.
- Streamlined transition during RFQ period.
Logistic Processes:
- Monitor and control the inbound shipping process, forwarding, clearing and bonding process of MBSA vehicles.
- Storage of vehicles.
- Monitor and control the land transportation and storage of MBSA vehicles and also evaluate options for improving storage facilities.
- Adaptation of chapters in the Daimler Operations Manual Europe for DOM South Africa.
Distribution Policy:
- Monitor and control all transactions in adherence to the Distribution Policy of MBSA ICS Audit requirements

Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
Please note that the contract will end on 31 December 2023 with the potential to be placed in an alternate permanent position in the future.
