Reporting to the Mechanical Foreman the successful candidate will provide assistance and support to the Welder with the maintenance, manufacturing and installation of structural equipment at the Zuikerbosch Water Treatment Plant.
Primary Duties
- Assist the artisan with general welding tasks in the maintenance, manufacturing and installation of structural equipment.
- General assistance by identifying and handling welding equipment and tools.
- General housekeeping duties of workshop, workplace, tools and equipment.
- Minor welding repairs.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) or NTC3 in Welding
- One year of working experience in a welding workshop environment
- Successful completion of a basic welding training/course will serve as an added advantage.
- A valid Code EB Driver’s license would serve as an advantage.
