Duties
- Providing comprehensive general and logistical support for doctoral studies in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS);
- Data capturing, quality control and analysis;
- Knowledge-building and research-oriented tasks;
- Performing routine and regulatory tasks related to the doctoral programme;
- Administrative support and quality assurance of electronic record-keeping;
- Following up on the Senate's decisions related to the Faculty research degree programmes;
- Providing meticulous support to the research degree examination processes;
- Developing FMHS postdoctoral fellow portfolio in consultation with the head;
- Providing executive support to the head, such as assisting with meeting preparation and special projects;
- Assisting with the compilation of committee reports as well as an annual report;
- General communication and marketing activities;
- Responding appropriately to all general queries (walk-in, telephone and electronic);
- Providing administrative support to doctoral applicants and candidates;
- Providing administrative support to supervisors and academic staff;
- Providing administrative support related to postdoctoral fellowships;
- Assisting with the efficient functioning of the FMHS Doctoral Office;
- Providing administrative support to the head of the FMHS Doctoral Office.

Job Requirements
- Postgraduate degree;
- Three years of relevant experience;
- Previous experience in a higher education environment;
- A self-motivated, efficient individual with a strong work ethic;
- Excellent service orientation and interpersonal skills;
- Professional communication skills;
- Project management skills;
- Data analysis experience;
- The ability to work with large documents;
- Fluency with basic office software (MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Adobe).
Recommendation
- Master's degree;
- Previous experience working with senior academic colleagues and senior postgraduate students;
- Database experience;
- Advanced technical skills.
